i personally think that if the girl and the man have things in common and enjoy themselves and have been best friends as well as in a relationship, i believe age is only a number and the law cant control love, they are equal to us and its rediculous that they think they can stop fully mature people in a mature relationship!

My cousin is 16 years old and her boyfriend is 40 something years old and I disagree with that. I know the whole thing of age doesn't matter because Love is stronger then that but if they are so in Love he could wait till she turn 18. Most of the time people would think nasty of you and will be saying that "oh she going to get pregnant because you know they are having sex." It's crazy. There is a law for a reason.

girls mature much faster than men, we all know that. but i think a girl is actually able to make her own choices at a young age even if she is under 18... but when it comes to older men, they should be a little more discreet and keep things quiet for a while..i agree with you about age being only a number..so i say to you... good luck and have a great life. regardless of what people say here.

i do agree with ur view but i also think that the relationships tend to be more about the guy being a father figure than a boyfriend. there is more nurturing then 'sexual attraction'. but yes age is just a number but u cant change the laws and people will talk. so be prepared to have to deal with it

It is still wrong regardless, an underage girl can be mature for her age but...... maturity get stronger and stronger as we grow older, most cases.

The law is there to protect underage people.
If you're not mature enough to see that, then you're not mature enough to be in any kind of relationship.

I also believe that finding an older man just to "take" care of you is an incredible waste of a woman's life. In the end your never going to have respect for yourself because you lived your life pleasing a guy because he took care of you. Instead try to make something of yourself and educate yourself.

an underage girl is still a kid, she may be mature for her age but there is a difference between a mature adult and a mature kid, and being an adult i find it hard to believe what you have just asked

because it is just wrong, there wouldnt be a law in place if it wasnt. Now if you are 18 thats another story.......i would still feel weird dating a girl that young

the word grooming comes to mind, your underage, he is old enuff to know better. it wont work, it will be frown apon. why not ask a Policeman what he thinks on your "older Friend"

depends on whether the girl is legal age. If it feels right to you, go for it and don't worry about what others think.
