Wash your hair every other day - every 3 days if you can get away with it.
When in the shower, shampoo first and then put lots and lots of conditioner on your hair. Pile it on the top of your head.
After you've washed yourself, comb out your hair with conditioner still in, with a wide tooth comb. Once it's tangle free, rinse the conditioner out.

Mnn, I use to have hair down past my butt, and it was really fine hair too.

My best advice is don't blow dry it for starters, keep the ends trimmed.

And use good shampoo that doesn't leave a build up on your hair. A good shampoo to use at least once a week is something with peppermint in it. I also used a mane and tail shampoo that equestrian folks use on their horses., works wonders on long hair to make it shine and stay tangle free.

Good luck, and trust me the mane and tail works awesome!!

Don't wash it daily, try every other day or better yet, 1/3 days. If your hair gets oily put baby powder in it.

Another thing to try is any kind of heat resistant coating for your hair, it helps a lot.

Try using less hair product, and try blowdrying less.

Don't brush you hair as much and if you do use a wide tooth comb.

Mevlana, long hair must be combed free of tangles every
day, yesterdays tangle, be comes tomorrows knot, you must start combing witha wide tooth comb, from the ends up,starting in the back at the back. removing each tangle, as you come to it, hair must be wet or dry ,but not damp.,damp hair catches and will.cause. split ends come from,to much heat, irons, blowers ,poor combing. so you can prevent them by easy care in combing. use a leave in conditiner for easy combing
