In Charleston, SC we love southern food, pulled pork BBQ, corn bread, red rice, collard greens, pecan pie, etc. Charleston has a historic southern culture.

I grew up in Pennsylvania and grew up eating scrapple, hoagies, cheese steaks, pierogies, and potato cakes.

Here in Ohio, everyone loves meat. Burgers, steak, open-faced roast beef sandwiches slathered in gravy.
Pizza is a close second as are hot dogs/polish sausages/bratwurst. (The original Tony Packo's is here...no wonder we were ranked among the most unheatly cities by Men's magazine!).

BTW- for those of you who are from out East, what is scrapple?

In Chicago we love deep dish pizza, Chicago style hot dogs, Vienna sausages, cheesecake and Italian beef sandwiches.

Goose Island and Berghoff beer are also made and loved here.

And while I don't think it's true anymore, Chicago used to be the Candy Capital of the world.

I live in Texas, and TexMex is a highly-favored food. It's not as genuine as Mexican food, but the Texas twist makes it enjoyable and easy to get. We also enjoy steaks, as the southwest is known as one of the great beef producers.
