I call it rational.

It's actually absurd to think that "God" would have any interest in being worshipped.

Well, if you do not worship God, you wouldn't call Him God for one thing. You would call Him the Creator. For another thing, the underlying question is whether or not worship is good. If it is not good, it must be evil. Since worshiping God cannot be evil unless God is evil, we better hope that it is all good. What do you call it when you believe in God but do not worship Him? I would say that must mean you think of worshiping God as worshiping some kind of idol. Yet, if you worship God you won't find yourself burning in Hell next to some wooden statuette of some non-existent god.

Think of this scenerio, you are a very helpful person. One day a acquaintance came up to you and asked you to lent him 500 bucks saying he need this for medication. Without hesitation, you gave it to him. After that, without saying anything, he just went off with the money. The next day, he came back again asking for another 100 for medication. Again being a helpful person, you gave it to him. Same thing happened, he walked off.

What would you think of this acquaintance? This will answer your question.

Would you gave him the third time if he asked again? Personally I will not. But for God, he will. Because he knows one day, you will come around and return with a grateful heart. He is a God who knows it all.

Surely if you believe in God's existence and all that He is, you couldn't fail to worship Him.

That probably just about describes Deism.

Deism is the belief that a creator started off the universe, but takes no active role in what goes on, and doesn't interfere in his creation.

Then you do not know the God you say that you believe in. If you knew Him, you would worship Him.

That's a seriously vague question.... totally depends on your definition of God. Puts you somewhere between an agnostic and a spiritualist.

Prideful. Worship in part is a sincere "Thank you" for creating me, loving me, blessing me, and providing for my salvation through the gift of your own Son.
