Hi there,

I have a Renault Clio Alize 1.4 16v and I think I am having trouble with my clutch.

When I am in first gear my car seems to rev alot more than normal and doesent seem to pull away. It struggles.

Could someone please tell me if it is the clutch or what else it could be. Also is there a test I can do?

Drop the clutch in second gear with the brake on and see if it slips. If you stall the engine the clutch is fine. Use a few revs though, around 2500.

BWA! French cars suck. I'm sure reverse works fine, even pops a little white flag out of the antenna I bet too.
