I have a 14yr old niece, who is a special need child, at the age of 10 yrs started her periods, fortunately she has a loving mother who looks after her and has slowly taught her that trying to show your sanitary towel to people isn't a nice thing.. No joke that's what she did at 10yrs old, but after lots of assistance she is slowly learning how to deal with this. my niece has a mentality of a 4yr old, my daughter is 5yrs old and would have probably down the sanitary towel thing aswell at this age.. It just takes time and pacients, if they are unable to learn then obviously people help them but sometimes i think would it not be better to have them have a hysterectomy (sorry on spelling), so they don't have to live through this...

They have carers who help with personal needs if they are unable to deal with them alone.

Either their mother should be there for them and guide them through it, or they should have a specified carer.
