Try Cyndislist. It may give you a link and from there you can try and track it. You might enter it into google.com and see what links pop up that way too. They may not have anything online. Do you have a specific home you're looking at? If so, try google.com with that specific name. You might also check with your local genealogy society to see if they might have links that would help you. If you live in a small town then google Denver Public Library and go to the genealogy and western history department and shoot them an email. They have wonder librarians that would be happy to send you in the right direction.

Hey Suzanne Harden,

There is a Croydon Australia, and Barnardos in New Hampshire with Croydon as the city. Confusing as to what country you are talking about. England, USA, Australia?

But what you need are Vital Records which can be obtained from the children's parents. Or at a Vital Records office with the parents/guardians permission.

Requests for personal records for 1867 onwards must be made in writing to Head of After Care, Barnardo's, Tanners Lane, Barkingside, Ilford, Essex, IG6 1QG. The records contain info about family circumstances and relatives and info about the child whilst in care. Enquiries from decendents should include consent of person concerned or nearest surviving relative. They also have photos of the children.
Barnardos also holds records of other agencies which have ceased to oeprate

Try Genes reunited, or Ancestry.co.uk. I use these.
