I think it has always been 18. However, I have heard that it is going up to 21 and smoking is going up to 18!

See it's 18 in england forever and they are fine but if you say we should lower in the states people would think you are crazy

Not sure, but I was able to drink at age 18 in 1971.

I believe although I'm unsure, that an age limit came in when they introduced last orders during the first world war to make sure people got up for work in the mornings.
