I don’t like the idea of a ‘cultish’ religious following. I think I’d be being unfair to myself and to any religion as a follower, as it’s not truly within my heart. Believe me, I’ve tried to understand and see all points of view on creation and existence, but I’ll believe in anything when I’m there, and if I’m to be punished as a good person then so be it.

If you have a good sense of right and wrong, if you have love in your heart and respect for others, if you make the best of each day, then you will never be a bad person.

Not a bad person, just un-informed. Can you imagine an ant trying to understand a nuclear sub.? We try try to understand with our limited logic, that struggled with high school maths ,how there could be a Being that placed everything we can detect with our 5 senses into place. Can you fully comprehend the concept of a place where time neither begins or ends. That, we are told is where our creator dwells. And we say in our arrogance or nievety "because I can't understand God,He doesnt exist"

Being a "good" person is great, but Jesus said None is good but God. Yes, I'm a Christian. Look around you if you want to see God. Can man create such beauty? No. Men have tried for years to recreate God's handiwork, but have always fallen short. There cannot be such creations without a Creator. Open the eyes of your heart. Don't try to understand it. Simply believe, and ask God to help you. I don't have a prayer for you to repeat....just talk to God like you'd talk to a friend. For your sake, I'll be praying too.

As Jesus pointed out. There is none good save God.
Men are running from God; most often through involvement in external religious activity or internal body work.; not to mention feeding their face.
God is always the transmitter, man the receiver. He transmits by His written word, by His spirit to the inner man and by Holy Ghost filled men known to Him. It has always been this way.
Belief is a willingness to consider and act upon an idea. It is how you get out of bed in the morning. Belief is not some 'thing' you do when you get there; it is what positions you for what you need to do and be.
Faith is trust and expectation in your hope; and in particular the promise of hope made known in God's word.
I find it best many times to cease attempts to understand and let God be my understanding. It is called wisdom; and it sure is nice to have some wisdom in this day.
If you have no knowledge of Jesus Christ, then know this: God presents himself to every human heart in the form of hope. To fully operate that hope must be tuned to Him.
God does not operate on your goodness or mine, because we have none. He operates based on His goodness. Look only for an unshakable and continuing experience with the Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing else counts, nothing else matters, nothing else is true.
Christianity is nothing short of obtaining and manifesting the life of Christ and possessing and speaking the mind of Christ. There are few things that exist, in our reality, aside from Christ.
There are multi-layered dimensions of greatness in Christ Jesus; but sometimes it all boils down to the first line of an old song: "Jesus loves me, this I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak but He is strong."

I think it makes you admirable more than a bad person. Everyone is free to choose what they want, and no one can tell them otherwise. I don't see why people make such a big deal about religion when they are all fundamentally the same in orgin anyway.

If you believe in a god that doesn't intervene in the affairs of people, it would make you a deist.
If you don't believe in the existance/ concept of god(s) altogether, then you would be an atheist.

no, you are not a bad person churches want people to go
so they can get money from you. But if you need they will not help. They tell to go to other places, but they will not help you
because your gross in your pay is over $2000.00. Even if
your net pay is a little over a $1000.00. Money to churches is
their god.

Follow your heart and continue to treat others as you would have them treat you and you won't be punished. I love my church, but it is not for everyone.
