I'm a 5'7'' 220 lbs 29yo male and I try to eat healthy and I go on diets, but I don't stay on them very long. I get tired and I quit. It's just so hard because I'm always hungry and I can't help it. I don't know what to do anymore. I tried following Weight Watchers but It's so hard. I need at least 3000 calories a day to feel full. What's wrong with me?

FORGET ABOUT DIETING. IT LEADS TO FAILURE. JUST START CHANGING YOUR LIFE PLAN. EAT HEALTHY FOODS NOT FAST FOODS. EAT SLOWER. ONLY EAT WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY AND UNTIL YOU FEEL SATISFIED. THAT DOESN'T MEAN FEELING 'STUFFED'.
THINK POSITIVE! IF YOU DRINK LOTS OF WATER THAT WILL HELP ALSO AS A LOT OF THE TIME WHEN WE FEEL HUNGRY WE ARE REALLY THIRSTY. SO TRY WATER FIRST! AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE DEFINITELY NOT ALONE IN YOUR STRUGGLE.

There is nothing wrong with you. Diets don't work. It is so hard not to eat foods you like when all you do all day is think about those foods and not eating them. just start walking everyday. Just get on a light exercise program and increase your activity on a daily basis. The more you workout the better you feel about yourself. Also the chemicals released in your body as a result of working out increase your energy and decrease your appetite. You are more aware of what you eat, and you automatically start eating better.
It is hard to start a workout program, but staying on is easy. stop trying to count calories or read labels. Just increase your activity and everything else will fall in place.

Try drinking a lot of water to make yourself feel full. If you drink a full glass of water before each meal, you will probably eat less. Also, eat fruit and raw veggies for snacks between meals. Look at the calories in foods, eat low cal foods. If you like sweets, try sugar free puddings with low cal cool whip, frozen fat free yogurt, jellow with fruit and low cal cool whip. With any diet you must eat less and move more. You must have an exercise program- even if its just a 20 min. walk everyday.

Nothings wrong with you first off. It is hard for some people to stay on a diet. Threes a "diet" type thing i know of. Alls you have to do is let your stomach 'growl' a little longer.
-Hope this helps-
(good luck!)

You're possibly eating the wrong food. Go on a diet based on the glycemic index. It's terrific.
