Now it seems like my tongue is kind of white and they stand out as flesh colored....The thing is that it happens to me a lot. These spots come and go all the time. What could this be...please serious answers only. Help! Can this be geographic tongue? Or stds...how and specific symptoms of which? Or cancer???

It sounds like you may have geographic tongue. It is actually a common ailment. Does it happen when you eat or drink certain foods? Coffee is known to cause geographic tongue flare ups, along with acidic foods, especially citrus fruit.

As you mentioned, the spots will come and go and 'move' around making your tongue look similar to a map. Hence the name 'geographic tongue'.

It's okay to ask for advice and I think thrush as the person said above is a good possibility. but no amount of advice you can receive here will replace the care of a doctor and that is the advice you should seek

I'm pretty sure it can't be cancer. Don't go jumping to conclusions before you've even investigated it. :D It may be stress related. (People's bodies have strange ways to release stress.) Other than that, I'm not sure. You may be allergic to something, and that's how you react.
I hope you find what you're looking for.

I'm sure it's not serious - probably a case of thrush.
Please go see your doctor to be sure and get the proper treatment.
