How do you read a dog? Wagging from side to side what does it mean? How do they think?

It takes patience to learn all of the nuances of a wagging tail and like all language the speaker's accent can vary - - - for beginners look at tail & eyes, the eyes will usually let you know if you are getting a friendly wag or a threatening wag.
Dogs are actual quite bright when it comes to chatting with people. When dog tail is thunking floor adjacent to empty dish that means he wants dinner NOW.

well when a dog wags its tail that means it is really happy and having fun with you. Another thing is that if the tail is down and in between the legs that might mean that they are sad or scared.

Depends on the dog and the circumstances. A wagging tail may mean "Let's Play!" or "I'm so happy to see you," or "When's dinner?" or "How do you do, my name is Spot."

A wagging tail means either of two things.

1. They are happy.

2. There is a swarm of flies buzzing around their sphincter and they are trying to swat them away.

i think it means the're happy cause my dog usally wags its tail when i give it food and my dog likes food alot.

it usually means tat they r happy and they wanto do something wit u.they do it to attract attention.dogs r interresting.they r fun to play wit ,share ur feelings.but wen cats wag their tails it means tat they r angry.dogs ,just lik humans use their head.
