in the state of Indiana can a paternal uncle sue for custody?

of a nephew if both parents alive and also it would split up one full blooded brother and a half brother that is and idolizes older brother would a judge grant custody

It would depend on the situation. I would think anybody could sue for custody, but nobody can take a child just because they want it. They would have to prove the parents unfit & the courts like for kids to stay with the parents whenever possible.
