I want to know why so many people without any knowledge of the martial arts try to give answers? How many cut and paste masters are there? This is the reason I believe that people don't take martial arts seriously.

I honestly think there are definitely at least a couple here who just get on and try to claim they have knowledge without any training. They're just trying to look like a bad as$, sadly I think many others are gullible enough to believe them.

Then we have some who are into all magical stuff such as throw a ball of ki, think touch of death exist, pressure point that work like a on and off button, and other. Those usually give out really bad answer.

Also we have some who never spar in their whole life time and think it's suppose to be like movies or video game. Then we have people who have bad instructor who can't teach anybody how to fight their way out of paper bag. They also give out terrible answer.

Well... you get the idea, there's many different type of people here. However I wouldn't trust about 90% of them.

You can find about any answer to any question on the web with very very little effort. People want to provide people with the best and informative answers possible so they just cut n paste the answer from wiki cuz the asker isn't smart enough to spell wikipedia. The most important thing is someone asks a question, and someone gets the correct answer. In a matter of opinion like 'Who's the best MMA striker' you don't need 'vast MA knowledge' to provide an answer. Just an opinion. Which accounts for most of the MA questions, simply opinions, and nothing that can be backed with any significant proof. People don't take martial arts seriously? If they didn't UFC and Pride would not be making millions. As far as people from yahoo answers not taking MA seriously, well have you ever visited the religion area? Yeah, much much worse. I've seen that compared to many other catagories, MA is more tame. That's my observation anyways.

There could be various reasons why people who supposably know nothing about Martial Arts try to give out reasons and answers, but it is unfortunate to predict who those people really are. Martial Arts is serious and needs to be taken seriously into affect on all acounts, because it could save you from a life and death situation, plus it is fun and does the body good health wise.

Thanks for your time.

I am sure that any martial artist worth his 'salt' could easily pick up on those who have 'no' knowledge of martial arts and disregard their answers.
By the way, I agree with 'Randy L'.
All the best .

Or you can just brag about your martial arts skills. If you're so dang serious why not just find a master to ask your questions instead of asking it on INTERNET which is filled with gazillions of craps. You sure put lot of effort for someone who is serious about martial arts. Going to Yahoo Answer sitting on your butt.
