There is a healthy kind of patriotism and a very unhealthy kind that breeds unnecessary intolerance.You can proud of certain things but never proud of everything.It is like people,you cannot like everything about them.Nothing's perfect anyway.

No. They have nothing to do with each other. What does loving your country and being loyal to it have to do with being prejudiced? I'm afraid it's separatism and fundamentalism that spark prejudice. Also, there are so many more factors like race, a person's status, his money situation, his size, his language etc. cause prejudice against him... patriotism has hardly anything to do with it..

It's not my idea of patriotism either way. These rt wing whackos have consumed the muslim world too. Both worlds view of "patriotism" is twisted and evil. I'm not talking about the moderates in either religion by the way.

there is no patriotism in america... that's why they buy Toyota's/ Hondas/ and other imported crap... putting their neighbors out of work, and sending 50% of the price of the car overseas. thus resulting in the $700trillion trade deficit... and lost jobs for their kids..how long till america goes broke?...why not support the neighbor who builds the car, so that he can support your convenience store/bar/pizzeria/etc
