People have different financial abilities. Marriage is a partnership and it doesnt matter who takes care of the money as long as it is in the best interests of the family. Things get complicated when the matter is treated as a control issue. I would suggest a "Skills Test". Both take turns and manage the money for six months with absolutely no interference from the other. Then mutually agree who did a better job and let that person handle the money, until there is a need for another
............. "Skills Test".

Whoever is better at it, or maybe whoever wants to do it, or maybe whoever has the time to do it. Or maybe both should do it on alternating Saturdays. Whoever does it should be based on a particular couple's situation, not necessarily based on gender. The same is true for housework, etc. etc.
