We are going to Nakhon Ratchasima next month and want to drop by this village for shopping. I don't know the name of the village but can anyone tell me how to get there. How was the price? What kind of pottery do they sell? Any reviews? Thanks.

Name of the village is Dan Kwian. It's about 15 kms south east of Nakhon Ratchasima. There is a bus available but it is better to take a taxi(hotel limousine) to the village and ask him to wait while you are doing shopping. The entrance of the village is easy to find. There is a huge gate with an English sign of "Welcome to Dan Kwian"(or something like that) along the highway. If you are driving from Nakhon Ratchasima, it is on your right hand side so you have to U turn. They sell small gifts to huge ornament, just like Chatchak Weekend Market. Price is very cheap, less than 50% of Chatchak.

There are hundreds of small shops along the narrow street. It was a fun for me strolling around. Enjoy!

yeah, i was just there and bought lots of souveneirs there for people back home. Wish I could have bought some of the big items, but couldn't take them on the plane. Interesting place and worth visiting.
