I saw this atheist ask a really STUPID question. He said that since God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all one (Trinity) that there was a problem with Christian logic. Here is his question:

"WHY DID GOD (JESUS CHRIST) KILL HIMESELF IN ORDER TO CHANGE HIS OWN RULES ?'

Isn't that a really dumb question? Someone give an intelligent answer to all the dumb atheists out there.

The Trinity is untruth. God would not want his trinity to be ufathomable, consider this The Father is God, the Son is Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is gods active force on the earth,

They are seperate beings, Many people will tell you that they exist as a trinity, but this is simply not true, consider the following scripture.

1 Corinthians 13:25For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For he "has put everything under his feet."[c] Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

The son will be made subject to God, meaning that Jesus is a seperate entity.

John 14:28"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Greater than I, our Lord again tells us that he is not the Father.

Also

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten.

If the Trinity doctrine was true, then who resurrected Jesus when he was dead? and why did Jesus say the father is 'Greater that I'

Also Jesus said of the coming of the Kingdom:

God is one, his son Jesus is one and the Holy Spirit is their gift to us.

When Jesus says we see the Father in the book John, he is refering to his perfection and his qualities. You must also bear in mind that their is absolutely no mention of a trinity in the Hebrew Scriptures.

I strongly urge all of you investigate this misteaching fully.

Let us not argue this or refute one another, instead, reason from the scriptures within your own hearts.

God Bless

There are more problems with 'christian logic' than this website will allow space for. But since you seem hell-bent on this trinity thing this morning:

If the concept of the trinity is to be believed, then yes, god killed his physical aspect. Anyone who believes that Jesus is but one aspect of the whole that is god should be able to accept this.

On the cross, Christ called out to his father "why have you forsaken me?" This produces a contradiction to the trinity concept.

3 seperate entities that are a part of 1 entity is known as a pantheon, which is a pagan concept. To accept this trinity, you must be able to place a candle at your right hand, one at your left, and one in the center. Then, while seeing 3 candles, explicitly believe that only 1 candle exists. It's an impossibility in a natural world.

Dont be angry with atheists!

The death of Jesus was a horrible crime. Blame can be rightly be placed upon the Jewish religious leaders as well as Pontius Pilate. However the blame has to be ultimately placed on the entire human race. It was for our sins that Jesus went to his death on Calvary’s cross. Therefore all of us were responsible for his death.

From the description of Jesus as recorded in Scripture, we find that He is the eternal God. We have the following indirect evidences that Jesus is called God. Jesus possesses attributes of Deity. Jesus has existed from all eternity. Jesus is a member of the Trinity. Jesus is equal to God in certain names. Jesus had a unique relationship with God the Father. Jesus is Immanuel – God with us. Jesus is put on an equal level with God. Jesus had a heavenly origin. He also allowed Himself to be worshiped. Jesus was addressed in prayer. Jesus and the One who would forgive sins. Jesus claimed to be the judge of the world. The Bible also says that He is the Creator of the universe. He sustains the universe by His spoken word. Jesus also presently rules the universe. Jesus will raise the dead. Jesus gives spiritual life to believers. Jesus will give eternal life to believers. Jesus will bring about the renewal of the heavens and the earth. Everyone will confess Jesus as Lord. Jesus has equal glory with God the Father. Jesus is the same essence as God.

According to Scripture, what is true about God is true about Jesus. Jesus performs work that only God can perform. These abilities cannot be delegated because they are characteristic of God alone.

We conclude that the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is God – the Second Person of the Trinity.

you want an explanation of the holy trinity, god got mary pregnant, she didnt know she wass she was told by an angel that she was, then she had jesus, the son of god, who became the christ in the prophecy, he was then crucified by his own people the jews, God wanted the world to see that he loved them and would do anything for them if they would just stop the evil and worship him, thus jesus died or maybe not on the cross, and was ressurrected three days later, hence the ghost

If you believe in the Holy Trinity then you believe that God manifested in human form so that he could be crucified (but not before he prayed to God/himself for strength and to also ask God/himself to forgive his perpetrators) for the purpose of changing the Old Testament requirement of offering sacrifices to God (himself). God had given his Son/himself as the ultimate sacrifice.

I see this often from atheists. God sent Himself to earth for man to see and hear and believe. He didn't kill Himself, The Jewish Rabbis ordered His death and the Roman soliders crucifixed Him. This was done to fulfill the Old Testament prophecies that God, the Father, told the Israelites (His Chosen People) would happen in order for the faithful to have salvation. And Jesus never changed His Father's rules. Jesus said that He didn't come here to abolish the old laws but to fulfill them.

To this atheist and others, they do not know what they say.

Er, didn't I just explain to you what was wrong with doing what you're doing here. Do you want me to explain it more slowly?

If you've got a problem with someone's comments, talk about those comments. But if you're going to throw in gratuitous and obviously off-target insults about atheists, you're just making a fool of yourself. The atheists here are the smart ones - we're clearly as a group far smarter than you are - so when you imply that atheists are "dumb", you're asking people to throw away all the evidence and take your word for it. If you told me the sky was green, I wouldn't believe you either, and in either case, it only makes me think there's something wrong with you.

I don't think that a question if asked in sincerity is dumb. What it shows is an ignorance of certain facts, of understanding. To call someone stupid or to say their question is dumb is very hurtful. Where's the love you are supposed to have?
I also wonder why YOU are asking someone else to answer this question for you...maybe YOU don't know, or can't answer either?

I never liked it that other christians who did not believe that god, jesus and the holy ghost were one, that God was a whimp and sent his son to do all the dirty work. How it goes is that Atheist just don't get it, God got back what satan stolded and he did it himself, without sending someone else to do his dirty work for him.

The theology of the crucifixion is explained in the book of Hebrews. A skeptical heart can not understand it.
