For non-UK residents, a womble is a small furry animal native only to South London that cleans litter from Wimbledon common.

For every 500gm of womble you will need 1/2 bottle of good red wine and 200ml of Beef Stock. In a pan add some chopped carrots, leeks, onion and celery. Lightly fry for a few minutes. Sit the Wombles on top, and pour over the wine and stock, add peppercorns, a bay leaf, a star anise and a cinnimon stick. Cover with foil and cook for 6 hours at 120 degrees celcius. Remove the meat and vegetables and reduce the liquid to make a sauce. Serve with creamy mashed Tellytubbies.

Can I have some of what you're on please? In answer to your question - not at all - they clear all the rubbish of Wimbledon Common - who would do all that cleaning up and recycling if you ate them?
