I recently had a blinding sensation in my eye then couldn't see anything horizontally down in that eye, something felt strange with my right arm and leg (felt disconntected) then when I tried to speak to someone I was talking nonsense and couldn't even think of what I wanted to say. After about ten minutes these problems stopped and got a headache. Since then i have been extremely bad tempered and can't seem to sit still for very long and have been sleeping about 11 hours a night (for 3 weeks now). These are differences most noticable but things that I'm not sure if i'm immagining keep happening like I think my hand is shaking but when i look i'm not sure if it is, i'm very noticably forgetful and get confussed easily.
I've seen my GP and a Neurologist and am waiting for blood test results and to have a brain scan. He told me it could be anything from a migraine to a stroke or diabetes.
Going mad sitting at home worrying what is wrong with me - any of the above could lose my job.

The thing is.......worrying isnt going to make any difference to your results. Whatever it is, youre just going to have to wait till they come back and then you will know what youre dealing with. We are all scared of the 'unknown' and it must be hard for you to have to sit back and wait. If its affecting you that much, go back to your GP and tell him how upset you are and perhaps he can pull a few strings to get you back to the neurologist asap. I know its hard, ive been there myself, but you need to remain positive now and when you get your results. On a practical level you can search the Internet for a possible self diagnosis and start to look as possible complementary therapies you can use as self help. But the most important thing is to remain positive, enjoy your life as much as possible and dont let whatever the problem is rule your life. Take care.....hugs

It sounds like you're having TIA's (transient ischemic attacks). Here's a brief description from the site sourced below:
"A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is a transient stroke that lasts only a few minutes. It occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is briefly interrupted. TIA symptoms, which usually occur suddenly, are similar to those of stroke but do not last as long. Most symptoms of a TIA disappear within an hour, although they may persist for up to 24 hours. Symptoms can include: numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body; confusion or difficulty in talking or understanding speech; trouble seeing in one or both eyes; and difficulty with walking, dizziness, or loss of balance and coordination."
Have you had you had your blood pressure monitored? The scan show any abnormal bleeding or clotting in the brain or major arteries? Both can cause the warning TIA's to start, and they are simply warning signs of a possible impending stroke. Since they're also very similar symptoms to a real stroke, it's very important you find the nearest ER should another one happen. Time is of the essence, since there is only a 3 hour window for certain medications to work to help you.

Scrap the GP my dear and head straight for your local A&E where you will be looked at straight away.
It sounds as though you have had a TIA (Transient Ischaemic Attack).
In a TIA, the affected part of the brain is without oxygen for just a few minutes. A TIA is a sign that part of the brain is not getting enough blood and that there is a risk of a more serious stroke in the future.

The answers that you have been given are what I would have suggested. It is possible that you had a bad migraine, which may have alarmed you if you hadn't had one before,as migraine can affect vision and cause numbness . The worry and stress caused by this attack could be contributing to your mood changes. The worry can cause you to have panic attacks which can give all sorts of symptoms.I'm afraid that you will have to wait for the results of your tests but once a more definite diagnosis can be given the appropriate treatment can be commenced and hopefully you will start to feel much better.r

There is no point in worrying you and telling you all manner of frightening things which it could be, although I can understand your position. Best to wait for the results of your tests and take things from there. It could be something minor, then you have worried about nothing. Have faith in your Dr. that he/she will take the best care of you possible no matter what the results are. I hope everything goes well for you, and it's nothing more than a virus.

Sounds like a TIA or mini stroke to me, but I am no expert. They are classic symptoms of a 'warning' stroke and hopefully your doctor and neurologist will come up with some answers and treatment for you.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
