When should you throw out bar soap that is too old?

I have a bar of soap that is a couple of years old. It smells different from when I first bought it. Like the perfume has gone bad or something. I've thrown it out, but am wondering when soap starts to go bad.

I am not aware of any expiration date for bar soap. However, I have come across a bar or two that had become cracked brittle, I have thrown away. But as far as I know, there is no expiration date. Take care.

There is almost always a date marked on soap bought in the U.S.
When in doubt you can call the 1800 # on the box.You will speak to a customer service agent and they will ask you to read them a code found on the box or wrapper. From that they can let you know if it is alright to use or not.Sometimes they offer you coupons to use next time you are in need of their products.

the soap won't expire but if it is perfumed the perfume will fade or maybe get a stale smell, but otherwise it's ok to use
