In the UK.
The new EU working times directive, states that a break of about 30 minutes should be taken for every 4 hours of work, so a 9-5 job you should have 2 x 30 minute breaks (1hr).
there should also be a gap of 11 hours between the finish of work and the start of the next days work.
Remember:
We work to live, not live to work.

Poor question - I suspect you mean, are you allowed tea breaks by law, in which case the answer would be yes. If not, the answer is no - you cannot be forced to have a tea break.

not sure if this is a UK question, but further to the above answer, the UK ruling is that you must have a break if working 4 hours or more.....

Thanks for reminding me!
It must be at least 20 mins since my last one.
...I drink more than 10 cups a day, so in my subjective opinion they are compulsory... anyone else want one while I'm putting the kettle on?
