Yes, it speaks about advantages and peace after death if one follows the religion but neglects the current life. Look at the wars,deaths, riots all around the world. Religion as its base. God as the reason set by Humans. That is why if you want me to choose a religion it would be of those eastern religions like spirituality, buddhism, hinduism, because these are slighty better. But then again, im not religious at all. And Yes again, Religions are totally pointless.

Yes.
I thought christianity is a religion. I was brought up in my faith by my parents, but there was no proof that God existed. I usually called to God in my times of trouble, but recently I was filled with God's Spirit and feel His presence just as bible says. I am happy to tell that there is a God and whatever Jesus has said in the bible is true.
I am also surprised that God answers anyone. I am hearing even muslims and hindus getting Holy Spirit from God when they really ask and wait for God to pour on them.
A person's life will be complete only when they can find the true God, cause He has put that need in humans that He created. The one love that each searches for...

2:They have got so many points not to be pointless.
3:Religions were made to show the good path for the people.We must have the ability to understand that path through the instruction given by the religions.

2) Something guides you to a proper life and afterlife is not pointless.
3) Islam shows the reason of creation is to worship god, so the question is how can i worship him?
The religion is how to do it and the messengers were sent to us to give a live applicable example of religions.
