Yes - you never know though I would advise against pushing too hard askin her for a drink there and then or even hinting that you see her as a prospective girlfriend.
Chat, get to know her,ask for a mobile number or email address - or better yet give her yours. If you interested her she'll get in touch. Do it with a nice phrase like 'I don't normally do this but I feel like we have some things in common and I wish I could continue this conversation but I've got to go. I won't ask for your number because that can look a bit creepy but if I give you mine will you call me soon?'

i have done it in the past and it didnt go down well at all, i used to see the same girl every night on my way home from work. after a while we used to acknowledge each other and say hello, after a while i decided i would ask her out. she politely declined. but the next night she came walking down with 2 male colleagues and pointed me out, a bit of a scuffle broke and i had to explain that i just thought she was nice and wanted to take her for a drink, nothing weird. she apologised and left. i never saw her again after that.

You could give it a try but question is will she even want to give you the time of day. I'm not saying your a horrible person but as a lady I never used to chat to strange men who trying to chat me up in the street or wherever, I just didn't feel comfortable and didn't know what they would want out of me.
