LTR girfriends and wives have high expectations of you, but they don't appreciate anything you did for them. Friends with benefits don't expect anything from you but when you do something nice for them they at least say thank you.

You answered your own question in your detail! Friends with benefits don't expect anything more than sex, so anything else is a nice surprise and is greatly appreciated!
As a husband or boyfriend, you are expected to do certain things, it's part of being in a relationship! It's probably not that they don't appreciate it, they just don't see the need in thanking you for it, because it's something you should do anyway!

expectations of these fwb's are already minor to begin with, they are only in it for the sex, and anything over or onder the scale will be a surprise and appreciated........wives on the other hand are demanding, because you've taken her in to be her protector and provider until death do you part........ltd's on the other hand have high expectations on non-secure ordeal...

You have in the wrong long term relationships. If you are not appreciated, don't continue to see the girl She is selfish, and will always be that way. There are plenty of unslefish girls out there--find you one! Maybe one of those FWB might be nicer.
