So god said to adam "dont eat the fruit of the tree, less it would kill you".
The serpent said "no it wont, it will just make you know about stuff".
Eve ate the apple and give a bit to adam. Nobody died.
God lied and the snake told the truth.
Can anyone argue that one away?
In the beginning God told lies.

I am NOT a believer in any of that biblical rubbish:
However this is easy to explain even by the most dense biblical literalist..........
before eating the fruit (it doesnt say apple in the bible) adam and eve were immortal
after eating it, they were mortal and subject to *possible* death by disease, old age, etc, etc

I can argue that one because you are twisting the scriptures.
"God said that if you eat of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, you will surely DIE." God did not say that HE will kill Adam, but that Adam would die. That death is not so much a physical death that will happen right now, but a spiritual death which is a separation from God. If you read on you will find that Adam Eve did not have the same relationship with God that they had before they ate the fruit.
Also they experienced physical death. Man was not meant to die, but to live forever and inhabit the Earth. Only God knows what HE would have done once the world got overpopulated. Maybe HE meant for us to fill the Earth and then other planets as well, I do not know.

Actually, Adam did die. Not immediately, but he lived to be 930 years old and DIED. God never said he'd die immediately. He was speaking of man's innocence dying. Even Satan (the serpent) didn't lie to him! The bite DID increase their knowledge, but unfortunately it allowed Evil to become a part of human nature. This is why Adam and Eve had to be kicked out of the Garden, for if they had eaten of the Tree of Life AFTER eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, they would've been bound to their sins for eternity with no hope of redemption even from God, for when Adam and Eve submitted to Satan's beguiling, they gave over their authority (dominion, as the Scripture calls it) over the Earth and all the things in it.

The garden of eden was paradise... where immortality reigns. God cast Adam and Eve out of the garden.. to live as mortals... and go forth and multiply... So had Eve not been tempted by the serpent and Eve not tempt Adam... There would be no death only life... and Cain would not have killed Abel.... so no God did not lie.

But it wasn't the fruit that killed them, it was called old age.
Whilst Adam and Eve were all innocent in the Garden God had true power over them. With knowledge came free-will, the ability to think for themselves, to question. God lost some of his control over them. That's why they were evicted. So yes, God lied.

Doesn't the Adam and Eve story sound an awful lot like Pandora's. The world was perfect until Pandora opened the box and let out all sorts of malevolence and disharmony. Just a thought.

GOD does not lie. He did not say you will surely die on the very day you eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil , HE said you will surely die. Whether he lived 900 years or 9 min. is not the point. The point is until he disobeyed GOD there was no death because there was no sin.

Nope God didn't lie. If they hadn't taken and eaten the apple nobody would have died ever. kinda the heaven on Earth deal with Eden, no pain, no suffering and no death, all of that bad stuff happened because they ate the apple!

In think dead means punishment from God, not really dead. As bible says those who sinneth shall die.
However, I am muslim and in our version of story, God did not say such thing to Adam and Eve
