what can i do about my evil stepmother. shes a typical evil stepmother. she pretends to be nice infront of my dad and when hes gone shes really mean. my dad knows that because she says bad things about us infont of my dad but and yet he still defends her. he has faught with her so many times but shes not changing and she keeps saying extrmely rude things about my mother infront of me. i tell her off but it makes a fight and problems. i hate problems. what do i do.

You need to talk to your dad...Tell him you dont appreciate evil one talking about your mother...If you dont live with dad, do not go to his home...Make arrangements to see him outside the home...

If I were you I would consider attempting to stop pitting my parents against each other. I would know my place and would know who is the mother and father in my home along with realizing I can't control my authority figures.
If I were the mother in that home I'd put my marriage first.
If I were the father I'd put my marriage first.
Marriage and parenting is as one...in your case that includes all parents.
Children are not made of china .... do you want to be a strong adult or one that cracks into pieces because they spent their childhood rebelling and not paying attention to those that teach children how to grow up? I'm assuming the answer is yes - to do that one has to kick the "step-mother" excuse to rebell to the curb. It's older than dirt.

Speaking from experience in this area, my advice to you is move out. Trying to reason with someone who is unreasonable is impossible and further, your fathers loyalties obviously lay with her. Have you considered living with your mother? or, depending upon your age, moving out with a flatmate? Biting at her taunts about your mother will only inflame the problems and possibly cause your father to choose her over you - as awful and wrong as that is, it happens. I can vouch for that....... bow out now and concentrate on your own mental health and support networks and try to have a relationship with your dad as you can. You could view this as your step mother "winning" but if you have all out fights all the time its no good for anyone. Way too hurtful for you. You need to look after you right now. Chin up, and try to stay positive so she may have won the battle but not the war.........*smiles*

tell your dad how you feel, you might think he knows and that it's obvious but talk to him anyway without your stepmother. when she says rude things about your mother don't react leave the room, i don't know why she's being evil to you but anyone who says rude or mean things to you or about someone you love generally expects a reaction, if you don't react she might stop :)

When you know that you are going to be alone with her wear a pair of ear plugs so you don't have to hear what she is saying. Or go out of the house or go to bed. Just do whatever you have to so you don't have to get in trouble with her or because of her.
