For the sake of argument, lets assume a couple of facts, and see where that takes us. OK? Lets assume that God REALLY is good. Also, lets assume there REALLY is a hell. Now, what does that tell us? Its tells us that OUR conception of what GOOD really is, is all screwed up. Because if a human being actually thinks that He is more Just than God, because he (the human being) would not send someone to hell, when God would send someone there, that person has a HUGE problem. Why? Because it is impossible for YOU to be right, and God, to be wrong. Because if there is a God, ALL of your reasoning power come FROM Him. It would be like cutting of the branch you are sitting on. So, if God says that He is Good, and yet hell still exists, AND you think that that is unjust, then YOUR idea of GOODNESS and JUSTICE is corrupted. Human beings do not really understand the pure goodness of God, and the seriousness of Sin. We show our ignorance whenever we make these kinds of statments. If God Himself had to come to earth and die, then the situation must be pretty serious.....theBerean

You have good answers here!
God takes sin seriously. Wages of the sin was death. He took care of that for us through Jesus. Sin was dealt with. What should happen to people who spit on the cross? There would not be juctice.
As we have a lot of choices here on earth, there is only two choices what comes to eternity:hell and heaven. You get to choose. God does not do anything against His character. So when He says that you have a free will, He will respect your choice. Remember, God does not want you to go to hell for any reason. It is your choice. All good people do not go to heaven, all forgiven people go to heaven. We Christians want to be with God so we serve Him and choose Him. We understand the Jesus is the way and the truth and the life and no one will go to the Father's house except through Him.
It might not be fair and it might not be fun, but that is the way it is. God is just. He keeps His promises. You have a decision to make, and do not blame God if you end up in hell. God is God no matter what you think. You have the choice. : )

Just because God is "100% good" doesn't mean He "allows" people to go to Hell. WE CONDEMN OURSELVES to hell simply by CHOOSING NOT TO BELIEVE! Free will is what allows us to make the choices we make with the APPROPRIATE UNDERSTANDING at our disposal. He lays out a course for us and watches over us and etc., but WE have to make the CHOICE to FOLLOW THE PATH WILLINGLY. Hell is for the unrepentant and disobedient and since we all have an opportunity from the beginning of our understanding to the grave, we cannot lay our failures at His feet. There's no such thing as people ending up in Hell because of "ignorance, accident or stupidity", because the Scripture says, "EVERY KNEE shall bow and EVERY TONGUE shall confess......" which means that before God comes back at the end of the Tribulation period and cleans everything up, the Word and it's truth will be given to EVERYONE equally with no prejudice whatsoever for people to accept or deny.

God is good, but He is also holy and pure. He doesn't want anyone to go to hell but he also can not force anyone to go to heaven. He has given us free will. We can use that to accept Him or reject Him. If we reject Him we will be eternally separated from Him by our own decision. Hell is that outer darkness where there is "wailing and gnashing of teeth". Before anyone goes to hell they will stand before God and be judged. In that time the person will know the full truth of God and the consequences of rejecting Him will be to be separated from Him for eternity fully knowing what was rejected. God doesn't want that but He will honor the boundaries He has set and give man the choice freely.

God can't allow his kingdom with sin because he his pure. Men are sinful and evil. He knows all things. he knows that some are confused and not perfect. that is why we must beleive that Jesus died for us and rose. we must also confess our sins. Hell isn't ruled by him. it is ruled by satan who helped bring sin into the world. he was banished there. and so he lures people into hell by makin them sin. and Yes, God would prevent it, but it is the choice we make. You have a choice in life. people choose the sinful way and end up in hell.
Don't u beleive punishment is needed so that one can learn??? if there was no punishment, the world would end up in chaos, and everyone will be in hell. but no, God doesn't let that happen.
no. it does not show unjustice, unforgiveness and aner. it is the choice we make. God can't change our decision. only we have the power to choose. it is because of their choice we perish. It was their choice to not follow God. so they ended up in hell. if you still can't see the truth, then that's just sad.
I hope you become a christian. for your own sake. and if you do, beware of your actions, for people look at our actions and think that all christians act the way you do.

Dear Friend,
That is because Hell as you know it is a false teaching of Man, and not of God. The Bible teaches us thus:
Hell is eternal seperation from God. It terms it as the second death in the book of Revalation, from which there is no resurrection, i.e anyone going here would simply cease to exist. The Bible often refers to this as Sheol which means covered. It also refers to it as Gehenna, this was a valley outside Jerusalem where refuse and waste was dumped and burned, and very often the bodys of the diseased dead were dumped here. Suplher was put on the flames to keep it burning. This is where in the main the false teaching of Hell in the 'firey' sense came from.
Let us now consider what the scripture say regarding the location of Satan:
Revelation 12:9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
Job1:Job's First Test
6 One day the angels [a] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan [b] also came with them. 7 The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?"
Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the EARTH and going back and forth in it."
Luke 4:5The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7So if you worship me, it will all be yours."
This clearly stated that satan was hurled to earth, was going to and fro on the earth and had been given authority on the earth, and also it states that he is misleading the whole planet, (false religion) Think of all the evil that men do, doesn't this make sense!
So in a nut shell, hell as it is thought of is not a teaching of the bible but of Man, as is the Trinity, I urge you to investigate these things for yourself.
God Bless

God holds excellent accountability for the whole thing, nevertheless; He has delegated a few accountability to others. To Lucifer and his angels, God has allowed dominion over this global in gentle of the truth that humankind has failed miserably in God's command to be well stewards of His production. God has given mankind a fruitful creativeness as good as a predisposition in the direction of judgement of others. Mankind has renamed Lucifer as Satan, which interprets to 'the accuser.' God didn't 'create' evil, He created unfastened will. He created beings and gave them the vigor to create. He allowed those beings to create evil through disobeying His will. All of those matters He did for a cause. I do not know precisely why He does what He does. But I recognise through religion that one day I will discover out. I recognise it is going to make ideal experience to me then, even tho it sort of feels insane to me now.

God is indeed 100% pure good. He will not let you go to hell if you believe in him. Yes he knows his children are confused and incapable of being a perfect person. He also knows that man need guidance in this fallen world. Therefore, he send his Son Jesus to save all of us. Jesus, a perfect man, died for us taking all our sins on him and gave us his righteousness. By believing in him and his finished work, You are accepted in Christ and can declared yourself righteous for all your sins are washed away. As long as you believe in Jesus and his finished work, your name will be written in the Book of Life and God will never condemn you in whatever sins you may had. For Jesus had died on the cross for all your sins, past, present and future. God is indeed a Father to us. He did told us to stay away from certain things in the Bible. However, he will not force his decision on us so we have our own free will. God loves us so much that he wants us to have the best, yet if you step into the sinner's way, there is nothing much he can do. He does not punish you for your sins in fact he did not exercise the punishment, it is sin. Because sin brings death. It is man's own action and decision that cause himself to fall. In fact, God is not angry at us anymore. He promised as written in the bible that he will not be angry at us anymore. God wants to care for you not punish you.

I have heard the answer for this valuable question. It is God who takes all the forms of living beings in this world. All the sufferings we seems to undergo is His only. Hence the question arises when God and the created beings are different from one another. This philosophy finds place in Hindu way of thoughts. Even in Bible also, it is seen that Jesus has commanded 'Love thy neighbors' Forgive your enemies seventy times seven' All these are founded on the same principle of 'All are One, Be alike to every one'

You say God is of 100% pure good, no evil. God is love. Unconditional love. God said Himself that He is a jealous God. That we are to aware of His wrath. No to say He is evil, but He does lose His patience with the unfaithful and the sinners after long periods of time. Usually generations. But He is a fair judge.
God didn't create hell in the beginning. He created the heavens and earth in the beginning. After He kicked Lucifer and the other fallen angels out of Heaven, He created hell for them to live. They had to go somewhere. People who end up in hell do not go there out of ignorance, by accident or out of sheer stupidity. They want to go there and God gives us what we want. People like Stalin, Hitler, Saddam, serial killers, terrorists. People that are sane and knowingly do evil deeds and know what they are doing and don't care about what they are doing and don't care that they are hurting or killing others. These people are aware of themselves and their surroundings. Because of their evil deeds and lack of faith, they are telling God that they deserve hell and God will send them to hell. Suicide is a sin and once you die you can't repent and ask for forgiveness. Yet, many suicides are accidental. Like being drunk and accidentally taking one too many pills. You have absolutely no idea what you are doing and if you were sober you would not have overdosed. God knows your intentions. I think accidents like this are forgiven and these souls aren't in hell.
Now you said that if God was like a father, why wouldn't He do everything in His power to prevent you from going to hell.... He does. He gave us His word. The Bible. The prophets writings. The Church. The papacy. God has been telling us for thousands of years exactly what we need to do to gain eternal life with Him and if we don't do those things, then what punishments we will face. He told Adam and Eve. Cain and his decendents. Abraham and his decendents. Jacob, Isaac, Isaiah, Moses, Noah, etc. Then He saw all the crap people were into so He sent Jesus to give us the ultimate helping hand. And Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit. God isn't a person lke your father. He works miracles through other people around us. Like doctors, strangers, a young child, even an animal. We have to open ourselves to Him and keep ourselves open to see and hear Him. He is spiritual.
Your last sentence is...wow...something I would never say. That 'God should not have'. Are you will to say to to His face some day? Even Jesus let His death occur. Jesus prayed in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights. He said to His Father to take this event away from Him. But that it is His will and His will to be done. Jesus did tell God "No! I'm not going to suffer hours of being beaten bloody and be nailed to a cross and hang for several hours for all these mere mortals! Are you kidding! I refuse to die for these sinners! If you love them, you stop them from sinning!" No, Jesus did what God sent Him here to do. God didn't enjoy watching Jesus being killed. And God doesn't enjoy watching any of us going to hell. But He has told us EXACTLY what we are to go and not to do. Now it's up to us to learn and to use our brains (free-will) to decides whether we want Heaven or hell. If you want Heaven. it's not hard. Just follow God and not man.
