He doesnt do this always, but when he does he smells terribly! I dont get it, his biscuit bowl is always full and he never misses out on his dinners, (he LOVES his dinners) yet he goes outside and eats bad food. I dont have this problem with my other dog. How can I stop him from doing this, he is very stubborn.

I know how to spell shitzue I just prefer to spell it my way, but thanks anyway for correcting me, it is like sooooo HARD to spell Shih Tzu
not! lol:) Oh the stuff he eats outside I don’t exactly know. There is nothing Poisonous in my backyard, its well kept. Its just that he digs in the garden and eats whatever is there.

The proper spelling is Shih Tzu and I was wondering what kind of crap is in your yard that he can be eating. What is this bad food you are talking about???

He might not be eating anything...Out of all my Shih Tzu's I have one digger. He will dig his way to china if I let him, Shih Tzu's have keen hearing, what he is doing is hearing things in the ground. It could be slugs , worms, andything that he hears moving. I fence in part of my yard just for them when they are outside.. so if he wants to dig and put holes in his spot then I let him..The other dogs like laying in the hole during the summer when it is hot, because the hole is cool. And Shih Tzu's are very stubborn, because they are to cute for their own good lol. If he digs in one spot , rake up some dirt , lay chicken wire down, then recover, he will start digging and run into the chicken wire and stop, but if he is like my dogs he will just dig somewhere else lol.

keep your trash up away from him pick up yard before letting him out? i dont know other ways that you can use while things are available for dog to get to
