Inter-tribal violence and vengeance was commonplace. As a matter of survival, one must have been willing to defend against aggression from all sides. Nevertheless, the Qur'an repeatedly urges forgiveness and restraint, and warns believers not to "transgress" or become "oppressors." Some examples:
"If anyone slays a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew all people.And if anyone saves a life,it would be as if he saved the life of all people".Qur'an 5:32
"Invite all to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching.And argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious...And if you punish,let your punishment be proportional to the wrong that has been done to you.But if you show patience, that is indeed the best course.Be patient, for your patience is from God.

U will also find a verse in Quran "Slay them wherever u find them",but this was an order given to the Muslims of that time in the War.Any country that would send its people in war would command the soldiers to kill the enemy wherever u see.
First of all,Prophet Muhammad never started a war.Only, when people declared War,he used to defend the people and himself.He had also warned Muslims of that time and to all the Muslims to kill children,women and old people of the enemy. Show me one such leader who would command his people not to attack enemy's women and children.
Some Muslims are mistaken about Jihad,but throughout the Muslims history, u can never see World Wars or they never killed people like how Western countries are killing. One more thing to be noted during the War of Iraq and America,when Iraq captured American soldiers, they were treated so much kindness, that those soldiers themselves told to news agencies.

Even the World War was between the Western countries and the no. of death had caused a river of blood to flow and people were badly killed in Nazi camps, we never say Christians are terrorists, because Islam teaches to love and respect one another. We understand that all the people are not the same, but whenever people talk about Muslims,they consider all the Muslims.

What you wrote was wonderful. Perhaps people will stop believing that all Muslims are terrorists. I understand that people think that terrorists are Muslims, but they are not. As a Muslim that knows the true Islam, I would never call them (terrorists) Muslims. Those terrorists have twisted, distorted and misrepresented Islam to the point that it's horrible. Yet, people in their ignorance believe that what those terrorists are doing is the real Islam and they brush off the true Muslims. It's sad really.
However, Allah bless you for this. This will open some but not all eyes into the true Islam.
