I am sure it is in Psalms : 137 but the verse...... I hope it may be in 5th or 6th verse.

Bible doesn't say that God allowed it.

But it is the patriotism of the writer of Psalms on his nation and its Capital (Jarusalam)

He expressed his patriotism when he was captured to Bapylon and was demanded by the captures to sing a song of Jerusalam to them.

Here's the issue- some verses in the bible are descriptive, but not prescriptive. This means that they describe behavior of people so you can be informed, but they do not prescribe you to do the same thing. The Bible describes how Noah got drunk and naked, how the great king David had an affair and then sent the poor ladies husband to the front lines to be killed. One apostle following Jesus swore and oath that he had never met the man- one even hanged himself. I love that about the bible- that that is what God is all about- using broken people to reveal himself. I know I'm messed up so it encourages me that even though someone like King David had big faults, God could still love Him and use him.
