No, of course they don't. NONE of these gimmicks ever do!
Look around you if ANY of these things worked would we be getting so overweight?
We are what we eat, but we are at least as much what we don't do. Calorie intakes in 1900 and 1950 were higher than they are now, we just don't use them up!
Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg.
Take a healthy amount of exercise 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise per day 4-5 days a week. I hate to think what percentage of the UK population does that 2%? 5%?
I have seen hundreds of questions with this same pattern :- I am fat, tell me where on line I can get this super diet or herbal/dangerous/illegal drug that I hear will fix it for me in 10 minutes without the need for me to get off the couch!
No fixes pal , less in more out, its the only way

I used Hoodia Gordonii everyday for 4 months and lost 4 stone. It is a natural appitite suppressant and is highly effective. I found that by taking 2 caps a day i was eating nearly half of what i normally did. I must stress that i was not very healthy to start and i used Hoodia mainly to help me for the first few weeks of the diet. Although i ate less calories, i still ate lean meat and fish, lots of fruit and veg aswell. I also did quite alot of cardio work at the gym.
Once i had lost the 4 stone i stopped taking Hoodia as i was no longer eating loads cos my body had got used to having less. I used Phase 2 - which is White Kidney Bean extract, this acts like a carb blocker and helped me lose another 7lbs.
I have also tried Trimspa and Stacker 2 - One thing i will say about these is that due to the high levels of caffine and potent mix of 'herbs' they can cause serious side effects. I felt sick and cold all the time. They made me moody and i started to have pains in my chest and muscle ache. I didnt lose any weight taking these tablets.
I have also tried Slimfast which i guess is good but only if you have a BMI of 30+ same goes for Special K and Crunchy Nut Drop a jean size. If you read the small print on the back it says that not only are you meant to have about a small cup full (30g) of the stuff but you have to have quite a high BMI as well. In other words if you want to lose a few pounds then these diets will NOT work. I actually put on a few pounds doing the Slimfast diet.
I am now a happy and healthy size 8. I only use Hoodia and/or Phase 2 when i go to a party or out for a meal.

To be honest the cabbage diet might work for a while, let's say a few days and you will loose the weight but you will get very bored with it and may just regain the weight loss you had. I would recommend joining weight watchers as you get to eat what you want and still lose weight, I lost two stone in three months so that is proof that it does work. You will probably loose 5-6 pounds in the first week then 1-2 pounds per week which is the best thing to do as that way you will not regain weight quickly. Check out their website and good luck with whatever weight loss method you do end up using.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

Good old fashion water 8 glasses a day followed up with vegetables (2 servings a day) Fruit (2 servings early in the day) and 2 servings of meat only 3 and a half ounces per serving and plenty of exercise should help it come off. Just make sure you stay away from sugar and only have whole grain or multiple grains for bread and make sure you don't have more than 2 servings of that either in a day...
If all that fails just ask the guy to get off you ....LOL

There is no easy way out, the only way to loose weight and look good is through excersizing and eating a varied diet with less calories than you burn off in a day (eat around 1500 cals per day and you will loose weight).

Eat SMALL meals , 5 to 6 times a day- NEVER fill your stomach. Avoid HIGH consumption of fats and carbos but eat balanced meals. Dont forget those veggies.- Avoid sweets chocolates etc..Walk for an hour twice a day at high pace.NEVER eat in the evening.

No, your'll be starving...that's when you go mental and chow down the chocolate bars at the smell of sugar..just eat fruit, drink water or 100% juices. Go for a good walk or swim.

i read a book by paul mckenna, he said "eat when ur hungry but eat slowly and enjoy every mouthfull, u will get full from doing this so stop eating when u are full but eat when u are hungry" and try getting exercise too, just a walk round the block is ok!
