I would suggest a Tomtom One (GB) for about £180 and if you want european mapping Tomtom One (Euro) for about £200. Either are dead easy to use and have readily available updates and POI you can enter from other sites!
Failing that you can probably pick up a decent second hand Tomtom 700 or 500 for about that sort of money which will include Harddrive memory (700) and bluetooth handsfree (700 and 500).
Either way check internets sites for best deals!

If you want to go for other manufacturers always go with trusted brands like Garmin, Magellan but they are quite expensive although worth the money if you can afford it. Avoid those PDA / SatNav combined units as a lot of them have high "crash" problems and they are very expensive because of all the extra programs (windows, pocket office etc).

Hope that helps

TOMTOM for 150... would like to know where she is getting them.

I own and have convinced around 30 people to buy the setups from NAVIGON. Their navi software has won best software awards the last several years. Here is one for just over 200
https://www.navigon.com/site/uk/en/shop/consumer

Good luck

Also look on Ebay for the Navigon packages. Most come on a PDA called the Transonic great things for the price!!!!
