That is why I don't believe in heaven or hell as most christians do. I believe in God making this earth new in the same way that anyone in Christ is a new creation. It is in this earth that Revelations says He will establish His kingdom. If you look at the creation days in Genesis you will not see Him creating hell either. I think hell is nothing but a separateness from God. Those who live their lives wanting God out of their lives. wanting to live by their own rules separate from God will get their wish. Imagine a place where the presence of God is not seen, felt, or remembered and you will find yourself in the middle of hell itself. Atheists will finally get there own place to themselves where there is no God and the gnashing of teeth will be that of their own and their colleagues.

Isaiah, chapter 65/17: "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.
Isaiah, chapter 66/22: "For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, says the LORD; so shall your descendants and your name remain. 2 Peter, chapter 3/13: But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Revelation, chapter 21/1: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

Because there will be a New Heaven and a new Earth. It will all be new. Hell is where nothing else is. Wherever that might be. Whatever that might entail.

Be New Earth is where God will be with us. And New Jerusalem is described as a city that is 1400 X 1400 x 1400 miles. I think that we might need a New Earth if the New Jerusalem is 1400 miles high. It makes sense to me anyway.

Because heaven will be on this new earth. And God never "wastes His time."
