If you have finished polytechnic, you are already liable for NS. In this case, if you wish to leave the country for any reason at all, you would need to apply for an Exit Permit. If there is no BMT call up scheduled for the time you are planning to be away, there should not be any problems. However, your nearest Exit Permit Office would be the authority on this matter and you should check with them before paying for your trip.
