You are using physical pain as a way of distracting yourself from the anxiety. This is what self-injurers do (I know from my own experience). Instead of dealing with the anxiety, you are masking it with another undesirable stimulus. You need to see a counselor to find a way to deal with your anxiety and target its source. Inflicting pain on yourself does not work as a long-term solution (or even a short-term solution, really), and can progress to something very dangerous and mentally damaging.

Please take care of yourself... it's so not worth it to hurt yourself.

get a grip cutting yourself will not allay any feelings of anxiety go to see your doctor ask to be referred to a psycologist or get some meds but be patient as not all meds work for everyone so you might have to try 2 or 3 before you find one that suits you good luck and be strong.

see http://anxietyandfears.com/default.aspx & http://www.anxietynetwork.com/pdhome.html (pdhome.html) See your doctor about getting therapy. Avoid cold medications, illicit drugs, & caffeine products (coffee, green or regular tea, cocoa, Pepsi, Red Bull, Coke, Excedrin, & chocolate). Coffee substitutes like Ecco & Caro are OK, as is herbal teas like Chamomile, and there is a chocolate substitute made from Carob. If you catch yourself doing it again, put a rubber band around your wrist (for a few minutes, maximum), stretch and release.

Because you are trying to get your mind off how you feel. I would go and see a doc straight away as you dont want to be hurting yourself. The docs are very good and you have nothing to be ashamed of.

self harming is a form of release for some people, they get anxious and find by cutting themselves, it makes them focas on something other than being anxious, go see your doc you don't want it getting too severe you should get seen to while your still realising that cutting yourself is not going to solve anything you'll just have scars that believe me you'll regret later on in life.
anxiety is really common it's can be treated with medication or counselling of forms of relaxation.
stay strong and get yourself seen to.

you need to talk about your frustrations to a trained professional and talk i mean tell him everything that annoys you everything that concerns you and get it all out in the open and maybe you can come up with the answer yourself.
either way you need to gain control of the situation.
cause you are in-charge of your own body.
