Some will go to Heaven, some won't. Depends on whether or not someone has given their life to Christ, even if it's a split second before they die. As for God needing to make a new earth . . .this earth will be destroyed when God and Satan duke it out. God will banish Satan into the abyss and will create a new earth and rebuild part of Heaven. Neither of us will be here when that happens. If the rapture were to happen today, it would be at least another 1007 years (7 year Tribulation period and 1000 year reign) before the earth is destroyed.

THE Bible, the written Word of God, fills us with hope when it says: “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.”—2 Peter 3:13.

What is the “new heavens”? The Bible associates heaven with rulership. (Acts 7:49) The “new heavens” is a new government that will rule over the earth. It is new because it will replace the present system of rulership; it is also a new development in the outworking of God’s purpose. It is the Kingdom for which Jesus taught us to pray. (Matthew 6:10) Since God is its Source and he dwells in heaven, it is called “the kingdom of the heavens.”—Matthew 7:21.

What is the “new earth”? It is not a new globe, since the Bible clearly states that the earth will be inhabited forever. The “new earth” is a new human society. It will be new because the wicked will have been cut off. (Proverbs 2:21, 22) All who then live will honor and obey the Creator and will live in harmony with his requirements. (Psalm 22:27) People of all nations are being invited to learn those requirements and to bring their lives into harmony with them now. Are you doing that?

In God’s new world, everyone will respect His rulership. Does love for God move you to obey him? (1 John 5:3) Is that evident in your home? at work or at school? in the way that you are using your life?

In that new world, human society will be united in worship of the true God. Do you worship the Creator of heaven and earth? Does your worship truly unite you with fellow worshipers of all nations, all races, all languages?—Psalm 86:9, 10; Isaiah 2:2-4; Zephaniah 3:9......I hope this helps answer your question.

You have reason to believe the Bible’s promises about that Paradise. For example, you have confidence in Jesus’ words to the impaled evildoer: “You will be with me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43) You trust the promise: “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” You also trust the promise that God will wipe out our tears; death will be no more; grief, outcry, and pain will end. This means that an earthly paradise will exist again!—2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:4.

The Bible does not say we go th Heaven- that is mans made up stuff- It mentions we will meet Him in the clouds- not live there- and this earth is burned up with all the bad in it and He makes it new again-- read Isaiah 65-66 or any other prophet for that matter--

Dear Friend,

This is because God intends us to live on a paradise earth forever. This is one of the most fundamental teachings of the bible. Why would God take us up to heaven and then return us to earth? after all nothing could compare to being with God himself in heaven could it.

Let us turn to the scriptures for the answer

First of all, what happens after death?

Ecclesiastes 9:5
For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten

The dead know nothing

and also

John 11:11 He said these things, and after this he said to them: “Laz´a·rus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.” 12 Therefore the disciples said to him: “Lord, if he has gone to rest, he will get well.” 13 Jesus had spoken, however, about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. 14 At that time, therefore, Jesus said to them outspokenly: “Laz´a·rus has died.

When Jesus resurrected people it was always back to life on Earth, if God takes our spirit when we die, why would Jesus do this? In addition Jesus clearly describes his condition as sleep.

Ecclesiatses 3:19 For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust.

Job believed that if he was faithful until death, he would be remembered by God and in time be resurrected. This was the belief of all of God's servants in ancient times. Jesus himself confirmed this hope and showed that God would use him to raise the dead. Christ's own words give us this assurance: "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."—John 5:28, 29.

to confirm that this is an earthly hope

Psalm 37:11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

Psalm 115:16 As regards the heavens, to God the heavens belong, but Earth he has given to the sons of Man.

Isaiah 45:18
For this is what the LORD says— he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited— he says: "I am the LORD, and there is no other.

We can see that without a doubt that our resurrection is to Earth.

We can look to anther prophetic book, Revelation for the final word:

Revelation 21
The New Jerusalem
1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
5He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

This teaches of a new Earth and new Jerusalem coming 'DOWN' out of the clouds.

God intends us to live in a paradise and have eternal life, with him, after all if you look at Genesis, this was his purpose for us from the begining, and it is what will ultimately happen. See you there.

God Bless
.
