Hair dye absorbs into your hair better if it is dry. It will still color your hair when it is wet but not as well, also it will probably fade quicker. Since your hair is dark you probably have nothing to worry about unless your are using a lighter color other than your natural color.

Hair is porous. If your hair is wet, then it has already absorbed water and doesn't have room for much else (that's why it is recommended that you wet your hair first before going swimming in a pool.. your hair won't be as damaged from the chlorine).

Of course it depends on how wet your hair is, but yes - it will most likely color your hair at least a little bit.

ewha phlubba scoo! no! Rub all ya want. You must treat your hair like you wish it were never born. Strip it down to nothing and dress it in something cheap. Like..blond with reacurring black roots.

yes, there's a possibility that color will stay but it will be dyed unevenly.
