I once had chicken pox. I drink a lot chrysanthemum tea. Drink plenty of water as well. The Chinese doctor I visited ask me to drink plenty of plain water and herbal tea. If you don't want to have more spots, purging the toxic out through the urine will help. No spicy food. Make your food as plain as possible and stick to vegetables as much as possible. Take porridge as it will digested fast and give you energy to recover.
You body is at its weakest point. Any food will be a poison to your body.

I'd say don't eat much. Just try for a little meal a day and drink a glass of water every hour or more. Lay around and sleep and wash your sheets a lot. Go outside and take a small walk in the sun for some sun vitamins, nothing real exerting, then go lay down.

If the spicy foods make you sweat so that it eases the itch, go for it.
Chicken noodle soup is also good.

There is no dietary restriction. Whatever you eat or do not eat will have no effect upon the illness. Eat whatever you would normally eat.
