Based on the course of the sun in islamic calendar,a night begins on or after maghrib time up to before shubuh time for praying..Yes malam or night in Jakarta and its surroundings begins at about 18.30 or 6.30 PM up to before dawn at about 4.00 AM the following day..So malam Jum'an or thursday evening started at 6.30 PM on Thursday up to 4.00 AM. The following day Friday is counted since 4.00 AM up to 6.30 PM.But in Masehi calender Malam jum'at started only at 6.30 PM on Thursday up to 12.00 PM because after that time is called Friday morning. So the turning point is 12.00 o'clock..

you don't need Abangs to tell you this...Malam Jumaat is from Maghrib hari Khamis to Subuh hari Jumaat...if i'm not mistaken...because my mother once explained to me that in Islam, when it's Maghrib, it's consired the next day already (get it?)

and yes, if you pray on Friday 9pm..it is not considered as Malam Jumaat...

Honey baby, you asked this question yesterday.
Malam Jumaat is after ishak till 11.59pm thursday.
Thursday 7pm is petang jumaat. Don't get confused!

And the one above me(Deep Sky) shut the hell up!
