Pretty sure I can feel my hygienist scraping away at my teeth, and I've never seen her put white powder on my teeth, either.
What kind of dentist are you going to?

We used to use the white powder at my office, but then switched to WhiteOut because we got a really good deal on it at Office Depot. LOL Just kidding with you.
Yes, the hygienist will scrape off all the hard deposits from your teeth and then use a special instrument to polish the teeth and remove anything she may have missed. This is important because even if you do a fantastic job brushing at home, there will still be some deposits that you just can't get yourself. Getting these off once or twice a year will go a long ways toward preventing cavities and gum disease.

Of course, we clean the teeth and remove the plaque.Whitening powder can't do it alone, hehe.Besides, you would feel it afterwards,if your mouth is already cleaned.Refreshing, that is. It'll be disgrace to our profession if we'll just cover it up.hehe!!!Honestly, we do clean it up.Remember, at least every 6months you would have to visit your dentist for check-up and cleaning.Ayt!!!

no they clean. go to my dentist, his name is Dr. Marc. HAHAHA.
ps. i'm being sarcastic because you can't just ask basically the world, to give you a good dentist, especially if nobody even knows where you are located.

they scrape it off, but teeth may still be stained so you will probably want whitening too
