What can I use instead of the shampoo-conditioner that comes with the Hair Dye kit?

You should use what comes in the kit after you color your hair, then after that use what you like. The shampoo and conditioner in the kits are for right after you colored your hair.

Well, you don't need to shampoo your hair after you color it, only if you are bleaching/lightening it. Just make sure you condtion it well (in either case). You can use whatever you'd like, but salon brands usually are best. A deep conditioner is a good thing to use once a week also.

You can use any sort of conditioner that you wish; the kind that comes with the hair color kit is simply there for your convenience (although personally, I like it) :-)
