Your doctor should be aware of all the medications you take so that she can be sure you're not taking the wrong combinations. If you are getting medication from more than one Dr. they need to be aware of all your medications. If the Drs. are aware of what you take and you follow the directions about taking your meds, you should be fine.

It's hard to know how much medication Daniel was taking, how he was taking it and what he was adding to it which wasn't prescribed.

When you see a doctor, you should give him a list of all the medications that you are taking. He will prescribe another medication only if it is going to be safe in combination with others.

As far as Daniel is concerned, it may not be overdose. Some body could have popped some 10 pills in his orange juice and gave him to drink. It would look like over dose; but it could be poisoning.

If you are taking prescribed medications in the dosages that were set by your doctor, you should not have any problems.

Some drugs are synergistic - they make each other stronger. Some drugs have additive side effects.

Your doctor should know all of the drugs, both prescription and over the counter, that you are taking, and also any supplements or herbal concoctions. He/she can make the necessary adjustments to keep you safe.

If you're worried, call your doctor.
