See a dietician--if a doctor told you about high blood pressure, he should have advised you on a diet and lifestyle change---go to the library or a bookstore--they have some real good info available--look it up and get informed--relax and good luck.

Less salt, less soda, less caffein, less fried foods.

More yummy fruits, veggies, lean (baked)meats, whole grains, oatmeal, brown rice, low fat dairy, lots of water, and decaf green tea.

foods that are low in sodium are key. natural sugars in juices and fruits are important to balance out your glucose levels. vegetables are important and so are grains. eat like a vegetarian, but remember that you are not limited to being one.
