i have not had a drink since june 25, 2006. it had been a problem---(very continuous..)--problem........for about 5 years, since 21st b-day----until 26th in july. i have been taking (had now, for 13 days now)....antabuse---to keep me from relapsing, but, ran out, for only a day, and i havn't taken it since.. ive taken other meds for almost the same amout of years-----pshyc meds.....
i have a borderline personality, im bi-polar, recovering anoretic, alcohol issues (detox totals 3 in past 3 years), panic w/ agoraphobia, self-injury...............
i guess --- my point is.....i gave these things up to get better?? and i still feel like ***t everyday.....when is whatever worth ''it''??
no cutting or burnig for last 10 mo. too------
i think im afraid of disappointing everyone---because things were so bad for so long, that i'm going backwards again, and....thats all to be said , "all is lost" i dont know....please....any valid advice would be greatly appreciated:).

It takes time to get to feel better. Do you have people to call for support? A sponsor from 12 step or a counselor? It sounds like you've been really working hard at changing your life. You're just hitting a low spot. It'll pass, but call and get some support. You're fighting a HUGE battle with all the things you mentioned. You've got guts to be fighting it the way you have and should be congratulated. It's hard. It gets easier with time. Hang in there, take your meds and call somebody to help you get through the rough spot. It'll pick up again and get easier. My heart goes out to you. Don't give up.

I am guessing that you have a high IQ and that you need challenges that make you think, something that is abstract or unusual that you can really get into. You have been working very hard at destroying yourself because you don't feel like you belong anywhere and that is because you are gifted and unique. All your diagnosis' indicate that you cannot conform to societies rules and that you feel too restricted when you try. You are an over achiever and need to be on the move. If this is something that sounds like you then I have a couple of suggestions. Philosophy is a subject that you may find interesting. You ask questions such as why bother, what is important, and probably have some pretty bazaar ideas about how life really is. You need to ground yourself so that you have a place to start fresh with. Sit in a quiet place and relax, think about when you were a child, what were the things you liked to do? Is there anything that you think you would like to do now that you did then? Ask yourself what happened that made you forget the child in you? This is serious stuff even though it may seem silly. You were in a hurry to grow up. If you remember something traumatic then you need to seek counsel, if not then you probably have a need to be a child again, to learn to play, have a temper tantrum, dream and run, jump, and sing at the top of your lungs until you are exhausted. You might want to do that when nobody is around. White water rafting, flying, scuba diving, mountain climbing, martial arts, canoeing, and creative dance are some things that will work for you in that they are physically challenging and a rush. Buy yourself a colouring book and a big box of crayons and colour the pictures any colour you want. Do not try to conform to how society says you should behave, think, look or feel. You are gifted and very special and you have a purpose, you are here to do a job. After you have grounded yourself and started to focus on the mysteries of life you will find that you will know what that job is and that your life is definitly worth it. Good luck to you and bless you.

You've done so well for so long, now is not the time to give up. You have had a set back, that doesn't mean it's the time to throw in the towel and let all the good work go; It's time to work harder. I don't know if you are seeing a good shrink, but that is a must. Also it's a must to get back on the meds that you ran out of. It seems that the concoction you were on was working for you and by taking away one little piece the house of cards came tumbling down. I can totally relate to that, I've been there. Everything seemed fine, changed one thing and all of a sudden the world wasn't worth living. Went back to where i was with the meds and everything seemed fine again. It's all such a crazy balance, you really have to be careful.
Don't come down on yourself too hard, look at where you came from and know you can get better and keep getting better.
Stick with it, there's too much in life worth enjoying. It may not feel that way now, but take all your drugs, talk to a good shrink and you will be surprised.

Wow, you sure are going thru alot. For whatever it's worth, I think your a very brave and strong person. You have alot of issues to work on.I hope you are not going thru this by yourself? I mean do you have a strong support system? You know, if someone said, "Darlene, I'll give you 10 of your using days for 1 of your sober ones." I would turn and walk away. What do you think you would do??My dope days were bad, real bad. I don't know how bad yours were, but I wouldn't trade one of my clean days for any of my bad ones.I'm telling you this because your wondering when things are going to get better. You are waking up sober, You are waking up remembering what you did last night. You are waking up not needing 20 tylenol to feel better. And last but not least, you are waking up with respect. With dignity. You have alot of time under your belt, are you welling to throw it all away??Don't you worry about what you are going to do to other people, worry about what you are going to do to you.All is not lost God is not going to give you anything that you and Him can't handle together. So you give yourself a pat on the back, and you keep working at staying clean and sober. You will be in my prayers. God Bless You!!

It's a long road to recovery. Think about where your life can be 10 years from now. I know that seems like a long time, but it really isn't. You can be proud of where you came from. Take care.

Accept who you are. If you are an addictive personality, removing all addictions is unnatural and will create unhappiness. Find a good addiction you can live with - I choose sex - and get on with your life.

Just compromised beyond words. Do you expect these mortals to understand your depth of depravity. They fear death. You don't even fear agony. What was it you wanted.? Stop it,. stop it now. There is no other answer.
