I'm not sure if this is what you mean but I get violently ill if I even smell peanut butter. It isn't physiological though, it's psychosomatic. It's based on associating the stuff with my evil stepdad.

For me, when I have an allergic reaction to food, I become emotionally wiped out. I have a hard time remembering things and am very scatterbrained for the next day or so. It also causes depression from time to time because my diet has become SO limited (I can't eat ANY type of seafood or freshwater fish, melons, almonds, several spices, chicken, turkey or other fowl, alcohol-and several triggers that we haven't been able to pinpoint just yet)

Allergy represents the physical manifestation of a mental resistance or hatred towards something, place or person, symbolised through that reaction. Mothers who wanted to abort their babies are surprisedto find that their babies reject and are allergic to their milk. The infant has mental memory of the mother's dislike for it.
I had a Patient referred to me for allergicblisters to her hands every time she touches clothes for washing. For full; measure , it was added that the allergy is hereditary from the mother downward. The Girl was asked to cut an old Cotton sheet into several small and larger size pieces and wash them in my presence with plain water at first, and later with light soap solution and still later with usual strength of soap. Nothing adverse happened she was rid of the fear of washing. Her allergy was traced to imitating her mother who had a reason to be allergic, : as a new bride her Mother in Law who was not favorably disposed to her because of her son's Inter Caste and Inter- State marriage to this lady had dumped huge bulk of clothes to be washed by her and deliberately used Caustic soda in the washing water .The hatred towards the mother in law and the abrasiveness of the Caustic soda had acted together to produce violent blisters in her hands. Subsequently, even thouigh the Mother i Law was no more alive, the bitter memory brought on the allergy every time she was compelled to wash any cloth. The innocent daughter , growing up watching her mother's agony, had come to expext thje same reaction for her, and it happened. The happy ending of the case was that after the daughter was cured of her allergy, the mother tried the same experiment and was rid of her trouble too.

What is good for washing holds good for every kind of allergy. There is an underlying psychological cause behind every allergy. The treatment consists of assisting the family to loacte the actual trigger( not the apparent one)
