A shop told me I would need a 4 wheel allignment and I thought that was weird b/c the rear dosn;t have an independant suspension. Were they trying to rip me of or what?

If your mustang is the Cobra model then it can have some adjustments made on the rear wheels. Otherwise it will be equipped with a solid rear axle. It should not be out of alignment in the rear unless it has been involved in an accident that bent a rear axle component or you have hit a curb with the rear wheels. A four wheel alignment is a more comprehensive alignment that will ensure the whole car is set up in relation to each axle.

No rip off there, it is also possible for the rear wheels to become out of alignment.

Ford....aligned wheels...tow truck.Yep,the rear wheels on Fords have been getting aligned with the rear wheels on a tow truck for many years.

possibly, but I doubt it, go to the library and look in a repair manual to know for sure
