I am Catholic so obviously you will know how I believe. I will not argue with you because that will not do anything for either one of us. What I want to say to you and other Muslims is that Jesus was much more that a messenger of God, a prophet. Jesus is the Son of God. The only begotten Son of God.
When John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the river, the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit) descended from the clouds in the form of a dove. There were many witnesses. And they all heard a voice, God's voice, say "This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased". [Matthew 3:17] Throughout the New Testament when Jesus prays to God, He calls Him "Abba" (Father). Not creator or God but Father.
When 'the Spirit' is mentioned, as when Mary became pregnant with Jesus, this 'Spirit' is always God's Spirit, the Holy Spirit. Not Jesus' spirit. Jesus doesn't have a spirit. He doesn't need one. There is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Muhammed is only a human man. Nothing more and nothing less. With all due respect, he himself admitted that he was only a man and a sinner. Jesus was not a sinner. Jesus performed miracles that were witnessed by His disciples and some by many others. Muhammed performed no miracles that had any witnesses. He said he did some things and people believed him only on his word alone. That would be blind faith.
Jesus told His disciples that He would send them an advocate (one who pleads another's cause); a paraclete (a Greek term derived from advocate, spokesman, mediator, intercessor, comforter, consoler) The 3rd English translation of the Bible uses the word 'messenger'. And no where is Jesus called a messenger either.
You have not proven to me that I have misread my Bible at all. I have been studying Scripture for only 4 years now and will continue the remaining of my years. But I am not interpretating the words to my own accord. I am learning ancient Hebrew, Arabic, Aramiac, Greek, Latin and Italian. I do this to make sure that I have the correct English translations from the original bible. And I have a few friends that are biblical scholars and belong to 2 bible studies weekly.
Again, I mean no disrespect to your beliefs but I see Islam as a religion that has been following a mere mortal man that sinned throughout his life and died, not saving anyone or being able to save anyone. And people following him as many do in cults. Muhammad is a great prophet to you and I understand that but he is only a man, like John Smith who lied about interpretating God's words and ended up having followers and today there are Mormons that still believe he was someone special. Jesus was prophecied many times in the Old Testament. God was constantly telling His Chosen People that a Redeemer, a Saviour, a Messiah was to come. And He did, He was Jesus Christ. Son of God, not a mortal messenger.

Was Mohammed able to do these things?
I believe in God because of the hard evidence he exists: in the order of nature and the universe, man's superior intelligence and moral conscience. But the most incontrovertible proof of his existence is no other than Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son and the second Person in the Holy Trinity. He was sent by his Father not only to save and reconcile mankind. He was also sent so that men may come to know God. What human can:
Silence a typhoon?
Walk on water?
Multiply a few loaves of bread and fish in order to feed a multitude of 5,000?
Bring back dead people to life?
Give sight to people born blind?
Change water into wine?
Rise from the dead?
These miracles prove beyond any reasonable doubt that Jesus is what he claimed to be - God. They demonstrate Christ's power over life and death and the forces of nature. Only a God can have such powers.
And if these miracles were just made up, Christianity would not have grown by leaps and bounds in the first century. Many people witnessed these miracles. The resurrection of Jesus cannot be silenced because more than 500 people saw his resurrected body.
Peace!

Friend, I think you are the one who got all your facts screwed up. The one that Jesus said will come from God after Him is not the messenger Muhammad but the Holy Spirit - the third person in the Holy Trinity of God. He is the Comforter - the one who comes after Jesus. If you don't understand the Bible, don't misinterpret or twist the meaning - it only shows your ignorance!
By the way, Jesus is the Son of God not the Sun of God. Please study for yourself the life and the claims of Jesus and you will find the truth for yourself that noone else dared make the kind of claims that Jesus made and backed up by His life. Jesus said, "And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free".

No you got it almost right the story of Jesus was based on the story of Horus and Osiris 6000 years before that and this was a symbolic story of the cycle of life of the Sun so Osiris was the Sun god who died and was reincarnated into Horus after he had been a holy spirit for a while
jesus was the son of the Sun .also after having had a trip as a holy spirit .
so it was the Sun all the time
then the dead Sun
and then the son of the Sun ,
who used to be the father
hope you can follow all that
people over the many centuries forgot that these stories were only symbolic and the illuminati did their best to Humanize the stories so that in the end the Sun was forgotten and only the characters were remembered as being real people

Put down the piece of garbage you call a Quran and pick up the true word of god which is the bible. Jesus is the son of god and before Abraham was born, Jesus was there. He was with god since the very beginning. I think that satan worked through Muhammed in deceiving the world and leading many of them away from Christ our saviour. There is no much need for you to share your crocked and corrupt beliefs with people.

He has some spelling mistakes, but it is better for you to focus on the idea.
All messengers that god sent including Jesus (peace upon him) were able to make miracles to prove god's support for them, they didn't even do it by their will but with god's will.
Jesus was able to cure people and bring them back to life, this is the most convenient reason - in my opinion - that make people believe in him as god, but did someone else do it?
Abraham (peace upon him) made it, when he cut 4 birds into pieces a put them on the top of mountains, then he called them, they came back to him, they were flying and full of life.
Moses too, when he hit the murdered man by a part of the cow, to bring him back to life. Just to tell them who killed him and then he died at once.
So Jesus is a prophet he came with bible - the Muslims believe in bible too -, but the question are you have the real and correct bible that Jesus was sent by?
The answer is no, it is not, the bible you are having now is a bunch of stories, most of the revelations of the real bible to Jesus are replaced by some human thoughts, rules and stories.
Jesus is a human, let me ask you a question:
Is it possible that Jesus (son of god) get out from female's womb and all that blood and fluids on him?
do you know that baby's head is pushing on the rectum too during delivery?
did you ever smell that blood?
Islam is an integrated relegion, Muslims believe in all messengers and prophets (approximatly 124,000), they believe that god sent all of them to guide the humanity to its real quest which is worshipping him only as he is their creator and all the boons are from him.
why do we thank others?
They believe in all books that the messengers were sent by them.
Muslims love Jesus and the virgin Mary but they put them in their real high position, they do not give them more than that, Jesus is a prophet and his mother is a real believer.
Thanks for reading...
You are respected and your religion too.
The links show an introduction to islam and a fair view of Mohammed's biography.
By the way muslims believe that Jesus is a SUN of god as he give them the light to guide people to the real path, and all the prophets are SUNS of god too.
Finally, islam is the most growing religion on earth. And it is your destiny at the end, so you have to think very well before you decide.
Peace and love for all those who follow the guiding of the SUNS.

I see your point but it is truly a matter of religious foundation. Certain faiths do not recognize Christ as the Son of God, as yourself. Many see him as a major prophet... and you have every right to claim this view.
I would also argue that you would need more substantiation than a few verses from our Bible. I would say that the Holy Bible has more scripture to support that Jesus IS truly the Son of God rather than not.
I am glad to see that you are curious and willing to ask questions about our faith. Too bad we don't ask enough questions about Islam.
Peace be with you,
Mon :-)

Jesus is the Son of God.....God keeps His word from corruption and the same God of Jacob is God. There is one God.
How can you believe one who never worshipped God or obeyed any of the commandments of His prophets? An illiterate man from pagan Mecca who did not have any qualifications for being a prophet. God speaks directly to prophets, they hear Him clearly. All the prophets spoke to God directly. They worshipped Him and did not follow any angels who gave another gospel. Muhammad was a false prophet. The Holy Spirit is God who dwells in the believer if you have ever read the bible. Moses spoke about Jesus, Isaiah spoke about Jesus, Jeremiah spoke about Jesus, Ezekiel spoke about Jesus. Do yourself a favor and at the very least read one book of the 66 books of the bible so you wont be so ignorant sounding. read the book of John.... www.arabicbible.com or www.blueletterbible.com

Your main problem is The Holy Bible calls Jesus Christ God, in Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Also God The Father calls Jesus God Hebrews: 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
1:8 But unto the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom.
1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, [even] thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Also John 1 the first few verses calls Jesus God also John 8:58 address Jesus as The I AM which is the same name Moses met in Exodus 3 and the burning bush your problem is God's Holy Bible calls what you said a lie, God bless find out more free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com OR www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com
