Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

In the first place, guy are not stupid. If u say that you are in love with him, he can felt it. So does a girl. Either the guy choose to be blind or what, that's his issue.
So what, if he's your admirer. Treat him to a scrumptious meal, if he enjoy eating. Or surprised him with home cooked food, yes, u need to cook yourself. Didn't u know, the best thing to capture a guy's heart is via his stomache.....
If u know he likes to party or go clubbing, by all means, get him there, and organise a surprse party at his favourite place.
Oops, all the arrangement, not necessary to do it during his birthday. For this type of arrangement, i know i won't be blind that my fren truly loves me ....

How about telling him how you feel? It would certainly be a surprise, and possibly reciprocated. I don't know, maybe a surprise party could be fun, too. :D
