The term 'self-hatred' is used infrequently by psychologists and psychiatrists, who would usually describe people who hate themselves as 'persons with low self-esteem'. Some people think that self-hatred and shame are important factors in some or many mental disorders, especially disorders that involve a perceived defect of oneself (e.g. body dysmorphic disorder). "Ethnic self-hatred" is considered by some people as being a cultural issue, to which psychological theories have limited relevance.
The term Self-hatred can refer to either a strong dislike for oneself, one's actions, or a strong dislike or hatred of one's own race, gender, or sexual orientation. When used in the latter context it is generally defined as hatred of one's identity based on the demographic in question, as well as a desire to distance oneself from this identity.
however, according to wikipedia, 'Self-hatred, self-loathing, also sometimes autophobia refers to an extreme dislike of oneself, or being angry at oneself. '

Why go for the medical terms, I have lots of nursing books but really why bother looking it up. Self hatred is just another way of saying hey, I have low self esteem. Why not start looking after you, realising you are a special human being with the potential of making a world of difference, even if it is to just one persons life, and if we all did that the world would be a better place.

perhaps you should relax you must have some strengths so play to those and its best to remember that even though most jocks think they are tough they are not sports have little application in real life. maybe you could try martial arts its always a good feeling knowing you could trash a jock even though your body still resembles a potato sack oh and to answer your question to hate your own kind is to hate your self and self hatred will cause you great spiritual and mental suffering
